With well over 400 years of sake making experience, and the use of locally farmed plums, we now have this Umeshu, which offers a great balance of refreshing flavor, sourness from local plum and umami from Kagatsuru sake. Unlike most Umeshu, which tends to be sweet and heavy, Kagatsuru is bright and tart with a touch of saltiness.

 

Best Served: Chilled, on the rocks or as a cocktail base.

Food Pairing: Umeboshi, chirashi, roasted chicken.
